Need a good brake pad place in Dubai, any suggestions?

My brakes have been squealing for about a week now and I know I've been putting it off way too long. The dealer quoted me something that honestly felt like a joke so I started asking around for…Continue

Mobile inspection vs taking the car to a workshop, which is better?
I'm trying to arrange a pre-purchase check for a 718 Cayman and the seller is only free on weekends, so taking it to a shop is a hassle. I've seen some places offer mobile inspections where they come…Continue

Anyone found a crate that doesn't soak up moisture in this humidity?
I'm really struggling with our current storage setup in Abu Dhabi. We manufacture a lot of packaged food items, and even though our warehouse is air-conditioned, the humidity during the summer months…Continue

Anyone else dealing with crates that just won't stop absorbing odors?
I'm honestly at my breaking point with this issue and I'm hoping someone here has found a solution because I've tried everything I can think of. We store all kinds of stuff in our facility, from…Continue

DIFC Bentley battery died on me this morning – any mobile options nearby?
I'm in a bit of a spot here – pulled into the office car park in DIFC this morning and my Bentayga just wouldn't start. No crank, just a click and all the dash lights dimmed. I had a feeling the battery was on its way out because the engine has been cranking a bit slower the last few days, and the start-stop function hasn't been working properly either. I've got a busy day of meetings ahead and I really can't afford to be dealing with a tow truck or sitting in a garage waiting room. Does anyone…See More
My gearbox is acting up and I need a shop in Sharjah that knows their stuff
I've been living in Sharjah for the past few years and commuting to Dubai for work, and honestly the stop-start traffic on that route has been taking a toll on my car's transmission. Lately I've noticed that my gear changes are getting rougher and there's a noticeable delay when I shift from park to drive, which is starting to worry me because I know transmission repairs aren't cheap and I really don't want to end up stranded on the side of the road. I've taken my car to a few local garages in…See More

My California's handling has gone from sharp to scary
I honestly never thought I'd be writing one of these posts, but here we are, my 2016 California T has been my pride and joy since I bought it, and it used to handle like an absolute dream with that precise, confidence-inspiring steering that makes these cars so special, but over the last few months something has changed dramatically and it's starting to really worry me. The front end feels almost floaty at speed now, especially when I'm pushing it on those lovely sweeping corners on the way to…See More

Rolls-Royce AC acting up – any state-of-the-art specialists in Sharjah?
Honestly, I'm at my wit's end with my Ghost's air conditioning. It's been a nightmare for the past few weeks – one day it's blowing ice cold, the next it's just warm air, and now it's warm constantly no matter what I do. I've already had it re-gassed twice at a local garage in the Industrial Area, but the problem came back within days both times, so I've learned my lesson about taking it to people who don't really know these cars. I've heard that Rolls-Royce AC systems are incredibly sensitive…See More
New warehouse manager here, need help with our IBC storage setup
I just started as the warehouse manager for a food processing company in Dubai South and honestly I'm a bit overwhelmed with how things are currently organized. We've got about 40 IBC containers scattered around the facility, some filled with vegetable oils and others with cleaning chemicals, and there's no real system for how they're arranged or tracked. The previous guy apparently just had them wherever they fit and nobody knows which ones are full, which ones are empty, or when any of them…See More

Finally bit the bullet and changed all four shocks today, feel like I'm driving a cloud now
Handed over a painful amount of dirhams this morning at a garage in Al Quoz after months of convincing myself that the bouncy ride was just part of my car's personality now and not an actual safety issue, but the difference on the drive back home through Jumeirah was honestly night and day and I'm actually a bit embarrassed I let it get that bad for so long. The old shocks they pulled out were completely shot, one of them you could compress with basically zero effort and the mechanic said it…See More
Anyone else feel like they're drowning in packaging supplies?
Walked into my storage area in Ajman this morning and just stood there for a solid minute wondering how things got this out of hand. I've got boxes of bubble wrap in three different widths, tape in about four colors because different suppliers sent whatever they had, and like six different box sizes that all serve basically the same purpose but I can't bring myself to throw any away. It's gotten to the point where finding what I actually need takes longer than the actual packing itself. I've…See More
Rethinking how I use space in my Ajman warehouse
I've had this warehouse in Ajman for about five years now, and up until recently I thought I had things figured out pretty well, but I've noticed over the last few months that I'm constantly running out of floor space even though my inventory levels haven't changed that dramatically. I started really looking at how things are arranged and realized I'm probably using my vertical space terribly and my stacking method is just whatever fits at the moment rather than anything intentional. I've been…See More
Finally got my settlement offer and I'm so confused
I could really use some outside perspective because my head is spinning and I don't want to make a stupid decision out of desperation. After almost a year of dealing with this nightmare — I was a delivery driver and got rear-ended pretty badly on Route 28, messed up my neck and still have nerve issues in my right arm — my lawyer just called with a settlement number from the insurance company and said he thinks it's "fair but not great." The problem is, I'm completely broke at this point. I've…See More
